For over a decade, yoga was one of many forms of exercise I routinely did. Then my practice deepened, and I saw how much  everyone could use a little bit of yoga in their lives.

About me

I was very bright and ambitious as a teen. I went to an elite college. I graduated and started working in marketing. I excelled. Everywhere I worked, I got pay raises and more responsibility. Clearly, I was doing it right. Then I found myself managing over 20 people, working on big and important company initiatives. While stressful, I was great at modeling to my younger staff how to handle a lot of work and stress while keeping up appearances. And I had a family. Total chaos that eventually got entangled in my body and mind.

A much needed lifestyle change, some therapy, and yoga that went beyond exercise helped me recognize and unlearn overscheduled and workaholic patterns that I had developed early in life. I learned to work at being content and being less attached to things and ideas – where I went to school, my job title, etc. Yoga gives me practice at just being that I can use for the peaks, valleys and plateaus of living.

I completed my 200 hour and 300 hour certifications from the Joy of Yoga School at Breathe Together. As a yoga instructor, I’m  blessed to have learned from several amazing teachers like Jennifer Prugh, Noell Clark, Joanne Varni, Bridget Puchalsky, Alyssa Prettyman, and Zahra Mojdeh Zahiralamzadeh. I love sharing the practice and helping students expand their awareness to what’s happening internally, and maybe finding their own ingrained patterns. That listening in can tell us so much!
